    Blaze Cheer Junior L2

    Competitive cheerleading is the fastest growing sport in Australia. It takes the essential classic sports mentality of team work and combined it with the flare and sparkle of dance and gymnastics. Athletes of all shapes and sizes work together to achieve and complete a competitive routine that combines everything from stunting and jumps to tumbling and dance. Competitive cheerleading takes a big commitment for an athlete but yields an even bigger reward. Athletes spend many hours a week training, performing and competing together. This builds a lifelong friendship between athletes and help to create a family environment. Athletes train for 4 hours a week. 2 x1.5 hour lessons plus a 1 hour pom lesson. Athletes attend 2 away comps a year as well as 2 local comps in the year. They will also attend any local performances PhoenixDSE schedules as well as the annual showcase.

    Teeny Tiny Cheerful Play (4years+under) This class is for our up and coming cheerleaders of tomorrow. With a focus on building our littlest students confidence as well as their gross and fine motor skills. We want to help foster and build a love of cheer that lasts a life time. Athletes train for 45 minutes a week.

    Our qualified coaches will teach students the proper technique to build and achieve their tumble skills. Everything from a forward roll to a layout our coaches will take students through the steps for them to be the best they can be. Athletes train for 1 hour week in a level appropriate class.

    Junior Recreational Cheer - Ignite

    These classes are about fun, fitness and friendship. They give you a little taste of what cheerleading is all about by trying all the aspects of cheer including stunting, dance, tumble, jumps and shapes. Recreational cheerleading classes are a great stepping stone in to a competitive cheerleading squad. Athletes train for 1/1.5 hours a week depending on ages. Athletes will have the option of attending 1 local comp. They will also attend any local performances PhoenixDSE schedules as well as the annual showcase. Junior: Ages 8-12

    Acro is a specialty class that we offer here at Phoenix DSE and it focuses on strength, control and flexibility. This class is run through the Acrobatic Arts syllabus and allows students to progress at their own pace while developing the knowledge of how to perform skills. Acro is for any age from 4 up and is a really fun class to get involved in.

We will discuss with the members of the team if they want to attend any comps or whether they would prefer to keep it as a fun class. The squad will perform at the end of year show case.
